Cadence Allegro Design Workbench provides a unified work environment with data management controls to help design teams collaborate effectively.

Cadence® Allegro® Design Workbench is most valuable in team environments where it significantly improves productivity and reduces costly mistakes that are often introduced due to the lack of organization and coordination. Allegro Design Workbench combines library management, design data management, design process control, and design tool integration that enables development of a company-defined design methodology. Incorporating design data management allows designers and design teams to work in parallel, with significant savings in the schedule, thanks to data vaulting and version control. Non-CAD users benefit from access to current design documents and view-and-mark-up technology that enable them to return comments directly to the design owners.

Allegro Library Workbench works in conjunction with Allegro PCB Librarian and incorporates all of the capabilities of Allegro Design Workbench, allowing the librarian to act as a super-user. This permits the librarian to test the library elements in the same environment that is used in production and perform all of the tasks that a designer will perform when using the libraries. This Eliminates design errors due to out-of-date or defective libraries by automatically synchronizing logical and physical reference libraries across the enterprise. It also Increases librarian productivity and company purchasing power by eliminating redundant components and suppliers.
