OrCAD North American Academic Program

EMA Design Automation established the Cadence® OrCAD® North American Academic Program to help educational institutions better prepare their future graduates for the PCB Design workplace. This program provides future engineers access to Cadence world class tools for schematic design entry, PCB layout and editing, auto-routing, mixed-signal simulation/analysis and signal integrity exploration. At the heart of the academic program are the Cadence industry standard OrCAD PCB design technologies including Cadence OrCAD Capture, Cadence OrCAD PCB Editor, Cadence PSpice®, Cadence OrCAD Signal Explorer and Cadence SPECCTRA® for OrCAD.

As technology continues to advance, EMA remains dedicated to meeting the curriculum demands of progressive academic engineering departments at an affordable price. Accredited institutions can purchase up to 20 seats – over $500,000 worth of PCB Design tools – for a small annual fee. EMA offers two unique design suites configured specifically for academic use. The technologies included in these packages are full version, commercial grade-tools with no design limitations.
