The Cadence® Allegro® PCB SI furnishes an integrated high-speed design and analysis environment for engineers creating complex digital PCB systems. This family of products in the Allegro system interconnect design platform allows users to develop optimum constraints very early in the design cycle. It also enables a constraint-driven PCB design flow. The result is first-pass success for even the most complex designs.
- Complete, integrated S-Parameter support
- High-capacity, high-performance simulation—10,000 bits in seconds, 1 million bits in an hour on a typical desktop PC
- Macro Modeling allows users to simulate topologies with complex new drivers and receivers—with pre-emphasis or receiver equalization capabilities—faster and more accurately
- Scalable, tightly integrated solution for complex, high-speed digital PCB systems
- Provides a powerful constraint-driven development environment and ensures consistent adherence to design rules
- Allows users to create optimum constraints and enables a constraint-driven PCB/IC package layout process with real-time feedback
- Solves issues early in the design process by using advanced solution space analysis, including swept parameter analysis, user-defined stimulus, and custom measurements
- Delivers a comprehensive differential-signal design and analysis capability
- Offers an integrated design and analysis environment with the Allegro PCB PI option 610. This field-proven tool set combines a unique design methodology and essential elements from design and analysis environments to offer a powerful solution for designing power distribution systems
Allegro PCB SI offers the scalability to design anything from PCB systems with large number of high-speed nets to systems having a small number of nets that operate in the multigigahertz (MGH) range. This integrated analysis environment allows SI and hardware engineers to explore and resolve electrical performance-related issues at every stage of the high-speed PCB system design cycle.
As timing margins shrink, it is important to consider the effects of discontinuities on the signal path, whether they are inside the package or within the system of multiple boards. The Allegro PCB SI solution performs analysis on the board, across multiple boards, or across silicon-package-boards. Its ability to read the Allegro Package Designer database and use actual signal lengths inside a critical IC package enables users to fine-tune critical signals on the PCB.
