This two day training course teaches engineers the fundamentals of designing schematics using Cadence® OrCAD® Capture. The objective of this class is to provide the information, hands-on experience and methodology you require to augment your knowledge of the OrCAD Capture tool. After completing the course, you will have a better understanding of the intricacies of the OrCAD Capture software and be able to optimize your schematic design environment to improve productivity and reduce time to market.

- Understanding the Cadence PCB design flow
- Exploring the OrCAD Capture user interface and setting up your design environment
- Creating part libraries within OrCAD Capture
- Creating homogenous and heterogeneous parts
- Designing symbols and building a simple schematic
- Processing a schematic design
- Building and processing multi-sheet schematics
- Adding inter-sheet signal references, creating cross reference reports and generating bill of materials
- Editing part properties using the OrCAD Capture Property Editor
- Working with hierarchical designs
- Preparing the schematic for Cadence OrCAD or Allegro® PCB Editor
