Arrow Partners with Indiegogo

Arrow, a global technology company with thousands of engineers, exclusive online design tools, warehousing and distribution services, and marketing and supply chain expertise is teaming up with Indiegogo, the global crowdfunding platform, to help create successful entrepreneurs and products.  Through this partnership, Arrow is providing entrepreneurs with the confidence their projects are ready for production by offering a Design for Manufacture Analysis and a Bill of Materials (BOM) review.

Arrow’s Design for Manufacture Analysis will help entrepreneurs determine the low-cost manufacturing viability of their product. Once that is determined, Arrow’s engineers can help identify and resolve potential issues before they occur. The BOM Review (using Arrow Technologies such as SiliconExpert) will review and make recommendations on the project’s BOM—ensuring it is complete, economic, and utilizing world-class technology. By providing these reviews and analyses, entrepreneurs can hopefully avoid major supply chain issues such as those from the infamous Coolest Coolers Kickstarter campaign, which is now known more for its manufacturing and customer service failures, than its product.

Engineers using OrCAD already have an advantage. The Cadence/Arrow Partnership allows them to ensure components are readily available, regulatory compliant, and have life cycles consistent with product regulations, as well as access to Arrow’s comprehensive online component and reference design data.

Once projects pass the reviews by Arrow, projects will be provided with an Arrow certification badge, which can be displayed on their project’s crowdfunding site—providing potential campaign backers with the peace of mind that the project is ready for production and beyond with no foreseeable setbacks. In addition to the feedback and credibility an Arrow Certification provides, campaigns will also be featured in an email newsletter and across their social media networks—providing exposure to thousands of technology enthusiasts. All Arrow certified campaigns are also be eligible to qualify for chance to receive their share of one million in flash funding.
