Working with OrCAD: Copper
This week’s Working with OrCAD video, Copper, discusses and the many features Cadence provides designers when dealing with copper shapes in addition to a few design best practices. It covers how to add various types of solid copper elements, sectioning plane layers, etc. It also reviews the different ways copper can be added to a layer (dynamic, solid copper, or crosshatch) and the merging of copper shapes.
Next week's blog post will discuss Routing within Cadence products. This video will include beneficial set up points (assuming you don’t want to autoroute) and the different routing options available users.
