The 3DEXPERIENCE® Platform on the Cloud is a holistic business experience platform that enables businesses to manage everything from product design and simulation analysis to manufacturing and marketing through a single, browser-based Cloud solution. It brings together 12 software brands under the Dassault Systemes umbrella like ENOVIA, CATIA, SIMULIA and SOLIDWORKS, under one roof in the form of ‘roles’. A role is essentially a bundle of applications required to perform certain tasks on the platform.

With the 2021 release of the OrCAD Connector to the Platform, the enterprise gains access to design data, while designers continue to work within their familiar OrCAD interface. The Connector now enables inter/cross-discipline and cross-Platform collaboration. The OrCAD Connector to the Platform is the tool needed to take PCB design to the next level. On the most basic level, it enhances collaboration on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform by allowing you to share files, compare iterations and assign tasks to your teammates. The Connector also eliminates the step of translating files into different file formats when performing analysis. By facilitating collaboration on projects between different authoring tools and managing all product-related data and information in one location, it provides a single source of truth for the enterprise.

A streamlined set of data management functions are available to the user from within the OrCAD interface. Whether using native work-in-progress tools or formal PLM, the collaborative environment of the Platform allows you to choose which solution is right for you, offering a more flexible data management solution. Users can simply save their files to their desktop, much like they would in a non-managed environment. Local files are automatically synchronized to a central server to maintain a single source and definition for every managed file. ENOVIA keeps track of which files are changed or out-of-date with the central server. With the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, ENOVIA ensures that the most up-to-date is always accessible.
