Ensuring signal quality for buses in increasingly complex designs can be difficult and incorrect routing can result in impedance issues. However, by routing buses on specific layers you can ensure the correct impedance is attained and achieve the best signal quality for your design. OrCAD helps do this with Controlled Layer Sets. Easily define the desired impedance and tolerance for the bus. Then control the layers the bus is routed on by creating Layer Sets. OrCAD follows the defined constraints and will not let buses or nets be routed on incorrect layers.
