Manually tracking part information and status throughout your design and keeping your database in sync with your design can be an exercise in futility. Luckily, there are two FREE apps available for download from OrCAD Capture Marketplace to help: CIS Row Color and Status Display. Both apps provide real-time visual indicators throughout your schematic design, making part selection simple and ensuring components are up to date. The CIS Row Color App allows users to highlight rows in CIS Explorer based on user defined conditions. The Status Display App allows users to highlight parts on their schematic based on the Company Part Status. This tutorial will provide step by step instructions for the download, set-up and use of these apps in OrCAD Capture CIS making color-coded real-time part information available throughout your design.
