EMA Training Options

Classroom Training from EMA provides designers and engineers with the hands-on, in-person education to help them be more productive. Training is the best way to make sure you are maximizing the return on your investment in software solutions. These powerful tools are packed with so many capabilities that virtually any user can benefit from training. With new features being continuously added, even experienced users will find faster, better ways to complete their design tasks.

EMA has developed a series of two and three day classroom training sessions on several popular topics in PCB design and mechanical engineering. These courses are presented across North America by full-time professional instructors with many years of hands-on industry experience. Laptop computers and training manuals are provided for the training. Upon completion of the course attendees keep the training materials to use for future reference.

In addition to our regular classroom training sessions, EMA can arrange onsite training classes of five or more students on all the products we provide and support. These on-site sessions are ideal for customers who require classroom training but:
  • Are located too far from cities with classroom training scheduled
  • Have a group of employees in need of training
  • Require training on a topic not currently offered in classroom training format

Custom training provides an added level of control over the pace and content of the course, meaning your employees can learn exactly what you want. It can also be a significantly more cost effective training option than paying travel expenses to send employees to a training elsewhere. Please contact us at Info@ema-eda.com for more information about our onsite training programs.

Aggressive time-to-market goals and project schedules are forcing users and organizations to find more efficient ways to receive training. At the same time, budget cuts are forcing management teams to cut down on travel expenses and reduce time spent out of the office.

To meet the challenges of today's market, EMA has created a virtual classroom training program. EMA's virtual classroom training is a half-day training session delivered over the Internet. Participants receive a hard copy of the training manual a week prior to the class, and use the manual as a reference or workbook as they follow along virtually with a live instructor. When it is time to do the lab exercises, you can access a virtual desktop which has the software and lab files already installed. Breakout sessions are available if you need special attention.

This class style provides several benefits over standard classroom training:

  • Reduced time away from office
  • Elimination of travel and lodging expenses
  • Enables multi-site training, as team members spread across geographic regions can collaborate in the same training sessions
  • Half-day sessions allow for maximum productivity

EMA iTrain Online is a series of self-guided Internet training solutions that enables you to become highly confident and proficient in all aspects of PCB design, circuit simulation, or timing analysis. Each iTrain course teaches design concepts and skills through a text-based three-step "explain", “demonstrate", and "hands-on" learning process, and features self-paced labs with real world design examples. Live technical support is available to answer questions as they arise, and you can evaluate your progress in a special “Test Your Knowledge” section for each course.
