How X AI improves the PCB Design Process

Allegro X AI removes time-to-market bottlenecks by performing parallel tasks and freeing critical design resources. Allegro X AI accelerates component placement, power plane generation, and routing and provides early insights into feasibility, form and fit, to find optimal and cost-effective component placement and routing solutions.

How Does AI Assisted Design Work?

To get the most out of Allegro X AI, engineers input the critical design elements as they would in their typical PCB design process including layer stackup, board outlines, MCAD requirements, physical constraints, etc. With this information defined, Allegro X AI can be run from the CAD environment either on-premise or in the cloud. Customer designs and IP are not sent back to Cadence and is not used to train or improve the AI engine. AI results can be downloaded directly into PCB editor for review and modification. This process greatly accelerates the PCB design process, with time savings up to 70%.
