Performing Component Placement with Allegro X AI

With the board uploaded and necessary items configured, the number of tokens required to perform component placement with Allegro X AI is visible in the X AI panel.

Select Run X AI to have the Allegro X AI engine generate component placement.

Troubleshooting Allegro X AI for Component Placement

If Run X AI is grayed out, additional setup is required. Required setup can be identified with the warning icons.

Red warning icons, such as the one visible next to Identify DC Nets, are errors and must be addressed before running Allegro X AI.

Yellow warning icons, such as the one visible next to Setup Component Classes, indicate a warning. It is recommended that these warnings are reviewed and corrected to improve Allegro X AI component placement results.
