This week’s Working with OrCAD video, Copper, discusses and the many features Cadence provides designers when dealing with copper shapes in addition to a few design best practices. It covers how to add various types of solid copper elements, sectioning plane layers, etc. It also reviews the different ways copper can be added to a layer (dynamic, solid copper, or crosshatch) and the merging of copper shapes.

“Throw it over the wall” has traditionally been the mindset when dealing with updates and changes between the ECAD and MCAD domains.
